Domestic leading memory module maker Team Group, Inc has devoted to the RD of overclocking memory modules ever since the organization was established. After the Xtreem Dark DDR2-1066, a new breed in the same series is introduced. Though the DDR2-800 module is a standard design from the viewpoint of clock speed, it has a low-timing feature. Therefore, when working on the same platform, the performance of DDR2-800 is comparable with that of the DDR2-1000 in standard timing, and can satisfy overclockers in many ways.

The Xtreem Dark DDR2-800 uses choice die from original manufacturers and is equipped with the Aluminum heat-sink printed with the Xtreem logo like its brother in the same series. Besides ventilation, the heat-sink brings a special tone to make the product both reliable and attractive. In terms of performance, besides a data transfer bandwidth at 6.4Gpbs, the timing configuration of the Xtreem Dark DDR2-800 is 4(CL)-4(tRCD)-4(tRP)-12(tRAS). From the viewpoint of CAS latency (CL), the factor affecting performance most, as the CL of most DDR2-800 modules is 5, the Xtreem Dark DDR2-800 can display the uniqueness of the DDR400+ specification.

As how it is named, the DDR2-800 module can operate stably at the high frequency of 800MHz. Therefore, its data transfer bandwidth at 6.4Gbps can help to enhance much of the system performance.
