The SOHORAID SR5 is a five drive RAID storage system with self -configurable RAID level based on user’s preferences. It provides optional RAID levels of RAID 0, 1, 0+1, 3, 5 and 6 with RAID level 6 being the most fault-tolerant and safe of all RAID levels allowing up to two drive failures but still keeping all data contained completely intact to give you a piece of mind while you work.

An affordable and portable storage system
SOHORAID SR5 is considered one of the most cost effective digital storage solutions on the market as it is a standalone unit with built in multi level RAID controller up to RAID 6 that can work independently without other computer peripherals or accessories. It stores massive digital data for your creative needs. It is also usable for on field applications as the unit comes equipped with a firm grip handle to get your creative contents conveniently accessible anywhere.

RAID 6 for the highest data safety with other multiple RAID configurations
If you’re looking for the high data safety but still requires high storage volume, then the SR5 would be the system that’s right for you. With RAID 6 being the safest among compact systems, allowing two drive failures but still keeping all data intact and the system operable which allows you to work carefree in a creative and demanding environment. Other configurable RAID levels include RAID 0, 1, 0+1, 3 or 5 depending on specific requirements.

Triple interface connectivity
With high-speed 3G eSATA, FireWire 800 and USB 2.0 triple connectivity, the SR5 can be used in Mac or PC environments providing great convenience and flexibility.

User-friendly display and RAIDGuide software for system monitoring
Equipped with clear readable LCD display for system monitoring, users can easily monitor and grasp the status of the system whenever and wherever necessary. During system configuration, LCD display also acts a guide to take you through the set up process.

Great cooling system for reliable drive operation
Although compact, the SR5 supplies sufficient cooling with ventilation openings located at the front as well as the bottom of the unit and including one built in 9cm cooling fan at rear to continuously draw the internal heat out of the system for the five drives to operate comfortably and reliably. Moreover; the unit monitors the unit for overheating which the alarm will sound when exceeding over 60°C in temperature.
